    1. Restore

    • Restoration of lives.

“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” -Luke 19:10

“The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, Because the Lord has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn, to console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.   And they shall rebuild the old ruins, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities, the desolations of many generations.” -Isaiah 61:1-4

    2.Rebuild

    • Training Disciples to minister to others.

    • Edifying and strengthening people through the local church.

“ And the things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.” -2 Timothy 2:2

“Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” -1 Corinthians 15:58

    3. Release

    • To fulfill the Apostolic mandate to release called and trained men and women into the harvest field.

“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” -Matthew 28:19

    • Fellowship with the Lord through continual prayer

“Pray without ceasing,” -1 Thessalonians 5:17

    • Living lives of obedience without compromise

“Has the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams.” -1 Samuel 15:22

    • Maintaining a spirit of excellence with all that the Lord has instructed us to do.

“ Moreover, it is required in stewards that one be found faithful.” -1 Corinthians 4:2

    • Distributing finances and resources to help others in need

“But if anyone has the world’s goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God’s love abide in him?” -1 John 3:17

    • Evangelize the lost people of the world through outreach, small groups, and fellowship.

“ And he said to them, ‘Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.’” -Mark 16:15

    • We believe the scripture of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired Word of God, presenting to us the complete revelation of God’s will for the redemption of mankind, and constituting the divine and only rule of Christian faith practice. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21)

    • We believe that God is a Trinity, in unity manifested in three persons: The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 3:16-17)

    • We believe that man is created in the image of God but through Adam’s transgression and fall, sin came into the world. (Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12)

    • We believe that salvation is possible through the meritorious work of Jesus Christ on the cross and that we are saved by faith through God’s grace. (John 3:16; Ephesians 2:8-9)

    • We believe that one who dies without Christ is hopelessly and eternally lost, destined to a literal hell with no further opportunity for repentance. (Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 19:20)

    • We believe that sanctification is a definite yet progressive work of grace in the life of a believer, beginning with the new birth and consummating at the revelation of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 3:18; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; 2 Peter 3:18; Hebrews 12:14)

    • We believe that water baptism is by immersion and is a direct commandment of the Lord for all believers. The ordinance is symbolic of our identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. (Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12)

    • We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is a gift from God and is available to all believers. The baptism in the Holy Spirit is a second work of grace received after salvation, the initial sign of which is speaking in other tongues as the Holy Spirit gives utterance. (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; Acts 2:4)

    • We believe that the true church is the body of Jesus Christ, Jesus Himself being the head. It is made up of all believers that witness a born again experience. (Ephesians 2:19-22; Colossians 1:18)

    • We believe that God calls men and women to serve in the five-fold ministry, and specifically endues the one called with the talents and abilities particular to that office. Under no circumstances should anyone be set apart to ministry unless the calling is distinct, evident, and confirmed by the Presbyter. (Ephesians 4:11-13)

    • We believe in the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper. In a real way, the presence and power of God is revealed in communion. We neither believe transubstantiation, nor consubstantiation, but believe the Lord is in the communion in a real and personal way being received by the believers. (1 Corinthians 11:27)

    • We believe that healing is a part of the atonement and can be appropriated by faith in Jesus’ redeeming work (Acts 10:38; 1 Peter 2:24)

    • We believe in spiritual gifts as listed in the new testament and believe that they are living and active and for today. (1 st Corinthians 12:1-11)

    • We believe in the resurrection of the just at the return of Christ. We further believe the righteous dead is in the presence of God until the resurrection. (John 5:28-29; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

    • We believe in a visible return of Christ and a literal catching away of the church to meet the Lord in the air. In as much as there is a great dispute in the body of Christ concerning the actual placement of this event on the calendar of God, let it be stated that we believe in a pre-tribulation catching away of the elect. Let it further be stated that the doctrine of the rapture is not a point of fellowship in this church or in the body of Christ. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

    • We believe in the tithe, recognizing that tithing existed before the law and during the law, and after the law. Jesus Himself commended the tithe. The writer of Hebrews established the tithe as New Testament practice. Tithing is representative of our personal commitment to the Lord and is a reflection of our covenant relationship with Him. (Malachi 3:10; Matthew 23:23; Hebrews 7:8)

  • Pastoral Relationship

The pastor of the church is likened to the shepherd in this illustration. The sheepfold is the local church, and the sheep are believers in the flock. It is the shepherd (pastor) who guards the sheepfold and stands by the gate to make sure that the sheep are all accounted for and safely inside the fold at night where wolves cannot harm them. Likewise, it is the shepherd (pastor) who greets and calls the sheep by name as they go in and out at the gate of the sheepfold. This important illustration teaches us that the pastor that God has set over the flock must know who comes and goes because he must give an account to God for those entrusted into his care by the Great Shepherd, Jesus. Therefore, it is the pastor that welcomes people officially into the membership of the local church properly with all blessings and acceptance. This is an understood and accepted practice in all Christian churches. If a person is led by God to leave the church they have joined, the pastor should be the first to know and give the official blessing of the church to that individual so that they may enter another sheepfold with the blessing upon their lives.

Many believers leave the churches they join improperly due to some offense that has been committed, or a misunderstanding that has not been discussed. This usually occurs without explanation or in secrecy and is a violation of integrity which should not occur among Christians any more than among family members.

    Please answer the following questions.

  • I. Give evidence of genuine experience of new birth.

    A. Recognition and confession that by grace and through the blood you are saved.

    1. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. On the cross Jesus Christ became sin and sickness providing both salvation and divine healing for all mankind.

    - Psalm 103:3 “He forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases.”

    2. Being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.

For by grace we are saved through faith. (Romans 3:24; Ephesians 2:8)

    - Romans 10:8-10 “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart – that is, the word of faith which we are preaching, that if you confess with your mouth ‘Jesus is Lord’ and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead; you shall be saved, for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

    B. The inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the Spirit.

    1. Romans 8:16 “For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.”

    C. The outward evidence to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness.

    1. 1 John 3:23 “And this is His commandment, that we believe in the name of Him Son Jesus Christ, and we love one another, just as He commanded us.”

II. Live a consistent Christian life.

    A. Personal Ethics.

    1. 1 Corinthians 6:12 “’All things are lawful for me,’ but not all things are helpful. ‘All things are lawful for me,’ but I will not be dominated by anything.”

    2. Proverbs 16:2 “All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, but the LORD weighs the spirit.”

    3. 1 Thessalonians 5:12 “We ask you, brothers, to respect those who labor among you and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,”

    B. Obedience to the Law.

    1. Romans 13:1-2 “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment.”

    2. Romans 13:5-8;11 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience. For because of this you also pay taxes, for the authorities are ministers of God, attending to this very thing. Pay to all what is owed to them: taxes to whom taxes are owed, revenue to whom revenue is owed, respect to whom respect is owed, honor to whom honor is owed.

    11. Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.

    C. Family and Household

    1. Exodus 20:12 “Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land that the LORD your God is giving you.”

    2. 1 Timothy 3:5 “for if someone does not know how to manage his own household, how will he care for God’s church?”

    3. 1 Timothy 3:11 Their wives likewise must be dignified, not slanderers, but sober-minded, faithful in all things.

    4. Titus 1:6-7 “namely, if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.  For the overseer must be above reproach as God’s steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain,”

    5. Titus 2:2-4 “Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance. Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.”

    6. Ephesians 5:22-31;33 “Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.  But as the church is subject to Christ, so also the wives ought to be to their husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her, so that He might sanctify her, having cleansed her by the washing of water with the word, that He might present to Himself the church in all her glory, having no spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that she would be holy and blameless. So, husbands ought also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself; for no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church, because we are members of His body. FOR THIS REASON, A MAN SHALL LEAVE HIS FATHER AND MOTHER AND SHALL BE JOINED TO HIS WIFE, AND THE TWO SHALL BECOME ONE FLESH. Nevertheless, each individual among you also is to love his own wife even as himself, and the wife must see to it that she respects her husband.”

    7. Ephesians 6:4-5 “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord. Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the sincerity of your heart, as to Christ;”

    III. Moral Conduct.

    A. Control.

    1. 2 Peter 2:19 “They promise them freedom, but they themselves are slaves of corruption. For whatever overcomes a person, to that he is enslaved.”

    2. Romans 15:2-3 “Let each one of us please his neighbor for that which is good, unto edifying. For Christ also pleased not himself; but, as it is written, the reproaches of them that reproached thee fell upon me.”

    B. Adultery, Fornication, & Immorality.

    1. Exodus 20:14 “You shall not commit adultery.”

    2. 2 Peter 2:14 “They have eyes full of adultery, insatiable for sin. They entice unsteady souls. They have hearts trained in greed. Accursed children!”

    3. Matthew 5:27-28 “You have heard that it was said, ‘YOU SHALL NOT COMMIT ADULTERY’; but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

    4. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,”

    5. 1 Corinthians 5:11 “But now I am writing to you not to associate with anyone who bears the name of brother if he is guilty of sexual immorality or greed, or is an idolater, reviler, drunkard, or swindler—not even to eat with such a one.”

    C. Drunkenness and Drugs.

    1. Deuteronomy 1:20-21 “I said to you, ‘You have come to the hill country of the Amorites which the LORD our God is about to give us. ‘See, the LORD your God has placed the land before you; go up, take possession, as the LORD, the God of your fathers, has spoken to you. Do not fear or be dismayed.’

    2. Galatians 5:21 “envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

    3. 1 Corinthians 6:10 “nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

    4. Ephesians 5:18 “And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit,”

    5. Proverbs 23:21 “for the drunkard and the glutton will come to poverty, and slumber will clothe them with rags.”

    D. Homosexuality.

    1. Leviticus 18:22 “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an

    abomination.”

    2. Romans 1:26-29 “For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper, being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,”

    3. 1 Corinthians 6:9 “Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,”

IV. Tithing to the local church.

    A. Follow the scriptural practice of tithing in the storehouse.

    1. Malachi 3:10 “Bring the full tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. And thereby put me to the test, says the LORD of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.”

    V. Support New Destiny Christian Center with regular attendance.

    A. Do not forsake the Assembly

    1. Hebrews 10:25 “not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”

VI. Subscribe to the doctrines and techniques of New Destiny Christian Center.

    A. Be in agreement with the direction of the House.

    1. Amos 3:3 “Do two walk together, unless they have agreed to meet?”

VII. Successful completion of the New Members Course.

    Where Do I fit in:

    • Serving

      • As a member of NDCC, there are many areas to get involved and serve the Lord. We believe that every person has valuable gifts and talents that can benefit the body of Christ.

“For the body does not consist of one member but of many. If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear should say, “Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of the body. If the whole body were an eye, where would be the sense of hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell? But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts yet one body.” - 1 Corinthians 12:14-19

  • What's Next?

    • Growing

Maybe you’re a new Christian. Maybe you’re a mature Christian. Regardless of your station of Christian maturity, we encourage you to apply yourself to the study of God’s Word and to grow in your relationship with Him. We offer many valuable resources (some free, others not) that will help you in your path to “growing up spiritually”.

    • Firm Foundations

If you are new to the Christian faith or maybe just want a refresher, we offer our Firm Foundation class. This primer will offer a great foundation upon which to build your belief system.

    • Corporate Worship, Preaching & Teaching

We meet regularly on Sundays at 10:30 AM and Wednesdays at 7:00 PM. Forsake not the assembling of ourselves together (paraphrase of Hebrews 10:25 KJV). We encourage you to make every effort to attend in person and get to know others in the congregation. There will be times when your schedule won’t permit you to attend a service, and that’s understandable. If you can’t make it for any reason, we also livestream our services on Facebook and YouTube.

    • Replay What You’ve Heard

Take the messages from Sunday and Wednesday with you throughout the week. We post recordings of all our services to Facebook and Youtube. Recordings are also available on Spotify.

    • Personal Study

Read your Bible every day (some read in the morning, some read in the evening). We have several daily devotionals and through-the-Bible-in-a-year plans we can suggest. A yearly study plan is even published each week in our eBulletin and sent out in daily text messages to those who sign up. Further, find a good book and dedicate a few minutes each day to reading a page or two in it. You’d be amazed what you can learn in just 5 or 10 minutes when you’re not only reading but also hearing the Voice of God.

    • Prayer

Take time each day (maybe multiple times each day) to be quiet and hear God. Pray and talk to God like a loving father or your best friend. We encourage you to pray in the Spirit (your heavenly prayer language, i.e. praying in tongues) and in English. No time spent in prayer is ever wasted.

*Once we have received all of your membership materials, THe office staff will reach out to schedule a meeting with you and pastors to answer any questions you may have before becoming a member.
