Water baptism

Being baptized in water is an outward manifestation of our faith in Jesus Christ.
It symbolizes the death of our “old man” as we lay that person down in the water grave and rise anew as a new creature in Christ.
Please follow the steps below to get baptized.

Step 1. Listen to the teachings

💧 WATER BAPTISM 💧

Hi! We are so glad you have decided to get water baptized!

The initial step of obedience after receiving Jesus into your heart is water baptism. We see this repeatedly in the Book of Acts.

Notice the immediacy of the believers' water baptism in every situation: the believers at Pentecost (Acts 2:41); converts in Samaria (Acts 8:12); the Ethiopian eunuch (Acts 8:38); Saul of Tarsus (Acts 9:18); Lydia of Thyatira (Acts 16:15}; the Philippian jailer and household (Acts 16:33); and the believers at Corinth (Acts 18:8).

This repeated pattern of new Christians being baptized upon their receiving of Jesus is persuasive evidence of the importance of this work.
We will review the Scriptures to see what transpires in the process of water baptism. Let's get started!

Read Ephesians 4:22-24 What are we told to do with the "old nature?”

Read Galatians 3:26-27 With whom have you clothed yourself in baptism?

Read Romans 6:3 Into what part of Christ's work were you baptized?

Read Romans 6:10 Is Jesus continually dying for our sin, or is it a completed work?

Read Romans 6:5 Do we identify with His dying or with the completed work?

Read Romans 6:7 What is the result of this death?

Read Romans 6:11 How do we appropriate this in our lives?

Read Romans 6:6 What has happened to our "old man" nature?

Read Romans 6:14 Should sin have dominion over your life?

Read Romans 6:17 How then should you live?

Read Romans 6:13 What choices do you have in conducting your life?

Read Romans 6:16 Where does presenting yourself to sin lead?

Read Romans 6:21 What is the result of sin?

Read Romans 6:22 What is the result of righteousness?

Read Romans 6:5 Into what likeness do we now live?
